| ENJOY
CREATING YOUR OWN WORK OF ART With lots of one to one tuition from Sue you will be able to produce your own ideas, vases, bowls, sculpture, wall plaques…… All the work is made from slabs or coils, not throwing on a wheel. This means that anyone, whatever their skill level can make interesting and beautiful work. SLABS are rolled out, decorated with your own patterns, left to harden a little, then Sue will help you put them together to form the finished article. COIL pots are built up using strips of clay joined together then smoothed out, all sorts of shapes can be achieved, then decorated. MOULDS can be used as the basis for bowls and platters etc. GLAZES are applied after the first firing to produce your unique colours, texture and finish. |

| BEGINNERS
AND THE MORE EXPERIENCED WELCOME With lots of one to one tuition beginners and the more experienced can work side by side. You need not have done pottery before, hand built pieces can be made in easy stages with help and a guiding hand. Explore new ideas in texture, decoration, sculpting, shapes and glazes. ENJOY THE EXPERIENCE Whilst expecting you to produce some serious pieces the atmosphere is light hearted with the emphasis on having fun and everyone enjoying themselves. |

AND EVENING CLASSES |

| These
are 8 two hour per week sessions, however as they ongoing you can start
the course at a date to suit you. The cost is £100 for the course which includes all materials, glazes, tools and firing the pieces that you make. There are no hidden extras. Most people would expect to make four pieces in 8 weeks, this of course, depends on the size and complexity of your ideas. MORNING CLASSES – Monday and Thursday 9.30 – 11.30 EVENING CLASSES – Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 7.30 – 9.30 |

| WEEK-END COURSES | |
| FRIDAY
[optional] – Start with a discussion in our teaching studio, exploring
the possibilities for turning ideas into reality. Followed by your first
session working with clay. SATURDAY & SUNDAY – Planning and hand building your ideas in a small group, with lots of one to one help. Leave your work with us for two weeks to dry and we will give it it’s first firing. SUNDAY – Finalise your ideas for colour and texture and then glaze your work. During the next two weeks we will glaze fire your work ready for you to collect. Four-Day Course £250 Three-Day Course £190 Includes all materials and kiln time, light lunch and tea and coffee whilst at the studio. |
